Häggberg Kakel
Full website UI/UX design from scratch
Häggberg Kakel is a Swedish company specializing in tiling services. They needed a professional, modern, and trustworthy online presence to showcase their craftsmanship and attract local customers. I was responsible for creating the entire UI/UX for their new website from the ground up.

Discovery & Research
To kick things off, I gathered insights about the business, target audience, and competitors.
- Competitor Analysis: Reviewed 5 local and national competitors in the tiling/home renovation space
- User Persona Creation: Defined ideal users—mostly homeowners aged 30–60 looking for reliable tiling services
Key Objectives:g
- Establish trust and professionalism
- Highlight completed projects visually
- Make it easy to contact the company

Information Architecture
I defined the core structure of the website based on user goals and client needs:
Home, Projects, Services, About, Contact
I mapped out user flows to ensure easy access to key actions like viewing past work or requesting a quote.
Wireframes
Before diving into the visual design, I created high-fidelity wireframes to map out layout and content structure:
- Focused on clarity and intuitive navigation
- Emphasized a visual-first approach for the Gallery and Home pages

UI Design
Using Figma, I designed high-fidelity mockups for both desktop and mobile.
- Visual Style: Clean, modern, Scandinavian-inspired
- Color Palette: Neutral tones (white, grey) with warm accent colors for contrast
- Typography: Clear, readable fonts with a professional tone
- Imagery: High-quality project photos to establish credibility
- Animations/Microinteractions: Subtle hover effects to guide user attention
Design Handoff
I organized all components, styles, and specs in Figma to ensure a smooth developer handoff:
- Provided responsive versions for all screen sizes
- Created a basic design system (buttons, typography, spacing, etc.)
